Anti-Inflammatory Turmeric & Ginger Porridge

Ingredients

  • 50g rolled oats
  • 200ml semi-skimmed milk (or oat milk)
  • 1/2 tsp ground turmeric
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp mixed seeds (pumpkin, sunflower)
  • Small handful of blueberries
  • Pinch of black pepper

Method

  1. Place the oats, milk, turmeric, ginger, cinnamon and black pepper in a small saucepan.
  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring regularly, for 5-6 minutes until thick and creamy.
  3. Pour into a bowl and drizzle with honey or maple syrup.
  4. Top with mixed seeds and blueberries. Serve immediately.
