A green smoothie with spinach, ginger, flaxseed and banana — packed with anti-inflammatory nutrients and fibre.

Ingredients

  • Large handful of baby spinach (60g)
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1 tbsp ground flaxseed
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger (grated)
  • 1/4 tsp ground turmeric
  • 200ml oat milk or semi-skimmed milk
  • 1 tbsp almond butter (optional)
  • 3-4 ice cubes

Method

  1. Place all the ingredients into a blender.
  2. Blend on high for 60 seconds until completely smooth.
  3. Pour into a glass and serve immediately. Add a few ice cubes if you prefer it colder.
